the sky flares up
crack crack crack
bodies fall down
violence and blood
is all around
cries of pain
and cries of sorrow
some wont see
the light of tomorrow
prayers and chants
from here and there
some hold hands
and some dont care
why do we all
go through this fight
whether we're in iraq
or at home at night
